_Special Events / Group Visit Intern

Rubin Museum of Art

Projects will be drawn from the following in accordance with candidate skills, availability and interest.

Marketing:
-  create an electronic presentation kit (EPK) for RMA Promotions of Special Events and Group Sales
-  organize client specific outreach presentations (mail and online)
-  develop sponsorship presentations
-  organize, create, and execute mailings to special event planners
-  organize, create, and execute mailings to tour & travel and cultural organizations

Research:
-  research prospective sponsors (vendors and corporate)
-  research and develop event planners and industry client database
-  research corporate and group visit client targets
-  research individual sponsors and donors

Publicity and Media Planning:
-  organize, create, and execute one special event advertisement.

Events:
-  assist on-site for special events.
-  execute one special event (supervised).

Qualifications: 

Intern must be highly organized, be able to do research online, and be able to work without constant supervision.  S/he must have a strong knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software.  Writing and presentation skills are important as well as the ability to interact with people.
