Institutional Giving Intern The Institutional Giving Intern will be introduced to the workings of institutional fundraising, which includes strategy for identifying prospective donors, proposal/report writing, donor stewardship, and the daily work of Development personnel. The intern will learn how to apply their research and writing skills to a career in museum development, while cultivating the essential administrative and professional skills that allow someone to flourish in the workplace.
Researching prospective funders for upcoming exhibitions and Rubin initiatives
Researching and writing profiles for current and prospective funders
Preparing attachments and related materials for proposals and reports
Assisting with preparations for the Rubin’s annual Summer Block Party, including working the event on July 16, 2017
Assisting with Digital Archives Project, with the goal of converting the Institutional Giving paper filing system to a digital one
Qualifications The intern must have exceptional research and writing skills. S/he must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel). The intern is professional and understands the important of discretion, especially when working with confidential donor information.
