Group Sales Programming Intern In this unique internship opportunity, the Group Sales Programming Intern will work concurrently with Group Sales, Academic Engagement, and Education Collections to develop hour-long, object-based learning (OBL) workshops. This project is meant to expand the Museum's offerings to visiting adult audiences that allow a tactile experience with art. The intern will work with UPenn graduate students, who lead the workshops, to develop themes, select objects, and produce marketing materials to draw attention to this special museum feature. The intern will also research and choose objects from the EDU collection to create a “Touch Collection” of objects that can be handled be visiting UPenn classes.
Qualifications The intern will be developing educational materials that will be used by their peers and other adult Museum visitors, and so they should be excited to engage with these audiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in museum education, art history, or archaeology. For the purposes of this project, the intern must have excellent research and presentation skills. An interest in Marketing is helpful, but not required.
