Education Intern

Noguchi Museum

The Intern will be responsible for identifying, gathering, and preparing resources for educational programs offered in conjunction with the exhibition Tools, opening October 2012.  This will include working from the exhibition checklist to identify tools available for sale in art stores, ordering tools, and creating systems for using these tools in education programs, including school and family programs and the exhibition-specific drop in program Try it!, as well as working on an online Educator resource.

The student will gain experience with exhibition-related and studio art education programming.  S/he will also gain administrative experience, utilizing management skills required to visualize programs and identify the resources needed to run them, as well as the organizational and communication skills required to ensure the procurement and preparation of the needed materials.  The intern will also gain experience working with an on-line teacher resource.

For the Noguchi Museum, Tools provides a unique programming opportunity, and this Intern, through focused attention to this exhibition, will help us ensure that we can provide this wonderful opportunity to a wide audience.

Interested candidates who meet all eligibility requirements should submit all parts of their applications by e-mail to the contact below.  Please see this website’s “HOW TO APPLY” section for more details.
