Public Programs Intern The Public Programs Intern will be working on MoCA’s original exhibition: Constant as the Sun. The exhibition features 10-12 artists and artist collectives whose work and/or practice demonstrates a diverse approach to portraying, building, and connecting communities.
Using a range of materials and perspectives, the exhibition will explore the power and provocation of socially-conscious art and its relevance to the urgent issues we face. Continuing with this theme, the title Constant as the Sun suggests the enduring significance of art and artists to defining and cohering communities throughout our region.
The intern will work closely with the Curator of Public Programs and the involved artists to finalize, plan, and help execute programming for the exhibition. Programs may range from artist conversations to live performances and guided workshops. The intern will strategize promotional and outreach ideas to reach and exceed project goals. This is an opportunity for a motivated student to explore the intersection between artists and audiences.
