Collections Intern As per the will of its founder Stephen Girard, the campus of Girard College – a primary school for economically disadvantaged children – is entirely enclosed by a perimeter wall. While this serves to keep the students secure in their home, this has historically divided the school from surrounding communities and complicated access for potential visitors.
To improve upon current outreach initiatives, the Collections Intern will work with College staff to develop a prototype “outside the wall” audio tour of the architecture and history of Girard College that focuses on what can be seen through the wall.

Creating a tour site (on an omeka.net platform)
