Adult Programs Intern

Institution:

Brooklyn Museum

The Adult Programs department develops activities such as gallery talks, workshops, lectures, film screenings, and performing arts series in conjunction with special exhibitions and permanent collections. Intern will assist in all aspects of expanding the Museum's local adult audiences through researching, programming, marketing, and logistical support. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, the museum's hugely popular Target First Saturdays, weekend programs, and a possible summer performance series.
The intern's primary project will be to organize a comprehensive and up-to-date archive and library of performing artists and arts organizations for reference and booking purposes, building on what has been accomplished so far by other interns. This includes looking at submissions by arts organizations, reviewing the submission and evaluation process, communicating with arts organizations, and making recommendations for selection process in programming.
