Photography and Imaging Intern The internship encompasses two roles. As a candid photographer for the Museum, the student will work on composing shots on the fly, securing releases, and editing and selecting suitable images from those obtained during a shoot. The second project will introduce the student to the detailed work of creating scans and working in a production environment.
Projects include: - Attend Museum events and activities as a candid photographer, shooting and editing images for Museum publications and web use - Scan and edit images of works of art from the negative collection to be added to the Museum's web pages and image database repository - Coordinate shoots with other departments - Input metadata for files created for archival purposes
Qualifications The Intern should have basic photography skills, experience with DSLR cameras, knowledge of Photoshop, light experience in scanning, and an eye for a compelling image. S/he should also be organized and proactive as the intern will need to consistently turn in work to reviewed and archived.
