Over the summer the intern will complete an analysis of the Brooklyn Museum’s public programming. Included in this project will be a creating a comprehensive annual reporting of all public programming with the Brooklyn Museum’s Education Division.
The internship will benefit the student as they will have the opportunity to collect data on our diverse programs and develop questions to further investigate the programs. The intern will develop data collection skills and get an in-depth view of how various departments work together to create programs.
The intern will be instrumental in spearheading a new research project of the Museum’s public programs. They will drive the direction of the research project and set parameters for future research projects.

Qualifications:
The intern must possess the following skills: data collection skills; detail oriented; creative problem solver, critical thinker with the ability to ask questions; ability to work independently and take initiative.
During the internship the intern will be responsible for compiling information from board reports and conducting interviews with museum staff. The intern will work collaboratively with visitors and Department Heads to compile data for Fiscal Year 2010 including programs and audiences served, and develop a visitor survey for the Museum’s flagship program, First Saturday.
