_ Adult Programs Intern

Brooklyn Museum

The Adult Programs department develops activities such as gallery talks, workshops, lectures, film screenings, and performing arts series in conjunction with special exhibitions and permanent collections. Interns will assist in all aspects of expanding the Museum’s local adult audiences through researching, programming, marketing, and logistical support. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, the museum’s hugely popular Target First Saturdays, weekend programs, and a possible summer performance series.

The intern will be responsible for developing exhibition-related programs, as well as a marketing strategy that the department can use to distribute information quickly and efficiently through a variety of networks, resulting in an overall attendance increase. The intern will also assist in the coordination of regularly scheduled programming, which will provide a unique overview of the museum’s Adult Programs department and the inner workings of the Museum. This internship will offer a variety of networking opportunities in the arts and education sectors, as well as helping to build the intern’s portfolio and strengthen their resume.

Interested candidates who meet all eligibility requirements should submit all parts of their applications by e-mail to the contact below. Please see this website’s “HOW TO APPLY” section for more details.
